HP announces upgraded ProLiant MicroServer models powered by AMD Turion N40L

August 31, 2011

The popular HP ProLiant MicroServer has been revised and updated with a faster processor and is available in a series of pre-configured bundles.

The CPU has been upgraded from the original 1.3GHz dual-core AMD AthlonII NEO N36L to a newer and better performing 1.5GHz dual-core AMD TurionII NEO N40L. The newer CPU offers better performance and greater energy efficiency whilst still offering full AMD-V virtualisation, 64-bit architecture and DDR3 memory support.

The models are as follows: -

  • 658553-421 – Entry bundle with 2GB and 1 x 250GB HDD
  • 658552-421 – SBS bundle with 4GB, 2 x 500GB HDDs and SBS 2011 Essentials pre-installed

As always, ServersPlus will be creating full server bundles as soon as we get stock of these servers.
